About the Author
Danny Shaw teaches Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Race, Ethnicity, Class and Gender at the City University of New York. He holds a Masters in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He is fluent in Spanish, Haitian Kreyol, Portuguese, Cape Verdean Kreolu and has a fair command of French. He has worked and organized in over forty different countries, opening his spirit to countless testimonies about the inhumanity of the international economic system. A Golden Gloves boxer, he fought twice in Madison Square Garden for the NYC heavyweight championship. He teaches boxing, yoga and nutrition. Shaw works in the national leadership of the ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) and the Party for Socialism and Liberation and is the managing editor of LiberationSchool.org. He is a mentor to young organizers and the father of two Life Warriors—Ernesto Rafael and Caua Amaru. About the Author
After the uproar over the publication of his first novel, City of Dark Magic, Magnus Flyte retreated to his dacha in the Urals, where he enjoys exploring underground tributaries of the Ufa, observing the mating habits of the spotted nutcracker, and smelting. Mr. Flyte is currently at work on a half-hour television comedy about sixteenth-century ethnographer Sigismund von Herberstein, entitled Ural I Love.
 
Magnus Flyte is a pseudonym for the writing duo of Meg Howrey and Christina Lynch. Howrey is the author of the novles The Cranes Dance and Blind Sight. She lives in Los Angeles. Lynch, who lives near Sequoia National Park, is a television writer and journalist.

I passed the LEED Exam on the Mock Exam and LEED v4 BD&C by Gang Chen books alone. I just had these two books, and printed out the USGBC/ GBCI PDF's he recommends. I passed both the Green Associate and BD&C portions. All I did was spend a month on the GA portion, then the 2nd month on the BD&C portion using the above-mentioned materials and that's it. I do have experience as a Mechanical Engineer with LEED projects in the past (HVAC and Building Envelope Energy Calculations/ Modeling) which helped on the procedural stuff, but Gang Chen's books cover this also. Get a highlighter so you're more engaged with what you're reading (slowly) and you'll be fine.Review your highlights a week-and-a-half prior to the exam and follow the author's advice on test prep. The Mock Exam book gives you an excellent "feel" for the test questions (which felt familiar in style on the actual exam), and the questions themselves had info in them that came in handy on the actual test.

This is a solid practice test for the LEED AP BD&C exam. There are two tests in the book...the first test is the same GA mock exam as the one in the GA Mock Exam book(so definitely no need to buy BOTH mock exam books, just the BD&C). The second test in the book is the BD&C one. It is somewhat harder than the actual exam (which I passed). The answer explanations in the back are well explained!! It does ask a significant amount of refrigerant questions though...which there might have been two on the actual exam (but the heads up the book provided was appreciated).This book asks questions like:(Choose 3):A. Answer 1B. Answer 2C. Answer 3D. Answer 4E. Answer 5While the exam asks questions like:(Choose 1):A. Answer 1, Answer 2, Answer 3B. Answer 2, Answer 3, Answer 4C. Answer 5, Answer 1, Answer 3D. Answer 1, Answer 2, Answer 5

Very disappointing. It's almost identical to the GA practice exam book?! I need a refund for this

I passed the test after using this guide!

I don't know how this book is getting such great reviews. The questions really didn't help me with the actual exam (which I passed the first time). The first part of the exam, which we all know is the LEED Green Associate exam. The questions in the first part of the book are exactly alike from his other book "LEED GA Mock Exams (V4)". So, I basically bought the half of the same book I've already had. The BD+C questions are okay but the answers sometimes don't make sense. The book also contains a lot of errors towards the end. It's like they just gave up proofreading everything and sent it out.You should probably spend the extra $30.00 and buy a review question package online. Usually they have a lot more questions (around 500) and with clear and concise answers. This book just seems poorly written and not worth the money.

There are definitely greater products out there that can facilitate the reinforcement of knowledge in the LEED field. This product does not explain the reasoning for the arbitrary answers that the author states.

If you're going to buy practice exams, use a website like gbes. I bought the mock exam book, but the questions were not that close to the actual exam.

In fact, our team used the OG13 as a reference point when deciding which aspects of CR to focus on in the book. For example, other GMAT critical reasoning books cover pages discussing Main point questions but these rarely appear on the GMAT now. In one such book, an entire chapter has been devoted to just explaining what these symbols stand for. While it is true that most CR arguments follow a basic structure, the stress always has to be on grasping the meaning of the argument. If you look at arguments very mechanically you will never be able to understand the hidden nuances that are present in difficult arguments.
